Coon Valley Telephone College Scholarship Program - 2010

In 2010, Coon Valley Telephone will award a minimum of two $500 scholarships to rural high school seniors.

Eligibility

Applicants must

• Be a graduating high school senior.
• Be a dependent child of a Coon Valley Telephone member
• Be accepted by an accredited two-or-four year college or university, or vocational-technical school.
• Have at least a C accumulative grade point average. Please note this is not a scholarship based on a 4.0 average, but awarded to deserving studenst whose academic credentials fall within an average to above-average range.
• Express an interest to work in a rural community following graduation.

How to Apply

• Applications can be picked up at the Coon Valley Telephone Business office in Menlo, the Farmers & Merchants bank in Orient, or may be mailed upon request.
• Complete the scholarship application in full.
• Return application to Coon Valley Telephone Business Office by April 16th at  12:00 noon. No late applications will be accepted.

Award Procedure:

• Winners will be selected by an independent qualified committee.
• Scholarships will be awarded on a one-time basis and will not be renewable.
• Award will be paid upon proof of registration at an institute of higher education, and will be payable after the completion of the first semester.
• Scholarship will awarded without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, or disability.
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
